First-Time Setup
Step 1: Unbox and inspect
Remove the PIXL Duo 12 from its packaging. You will have the battery unit (main body), the dual-flavour pod already inserted or supplied separately, and a USB-C charging cable. Check that the pod is securely seated in the top of the battery unit: it should click firmly into place.
Step 2: Remove any protective seals
Some PIXL Duo 12 pods have a silicone mouthpiece seal or a sticker covering the airflow vents. Remove these completely before use. The device will not produce vapour correctly if airflow is blocked.
Step 3: Check battery level
The LED indicator shows battery status. New devices are typically shipped with a partial charge. If the LED flashes rapidly, charge the device via USB-C before your first session. A partial charge is usually sufficient for initial use.
Step 4: Prime the coil
Before your first full puff, take 3 to 5 gentle, short draws without inhaling: just pulling air through the mouthpiece. This saturates the coil wick with e-liquid and prevents a dry or burnt first hit. This is especially important when using a fresh pod.
Step 5: Vape: inhale to activate
The PIXL Duo 12 is draw-activated: there is no button to press. Place the mouthpiece to your lips and inhale slowly and steadily. The device will activate automatically and produce vapour. Use a mouth-to-lung draw (pull vapour into your mouth first, then inhale to your lungs) for the best experience: this is the same technique as smoking a cigarette.
Step 6: Switch between flavours
Locate the flavour switch on the pod (usually a small slider or button on the side of the pod). Toggle it to switch between the two flavour chambers. Take a couple of short puffs after switching to clear any residual vapour from the previous flavour before inhaling deeply.
